Not sure what to say?

Our prayers are with Dudley's fine family. Our children were blessed to have Marlene as a primary teacher, and we were privileged to meet Dudley through Marlene. Our love to the family. Len & Jane Wohletz

Mr. Cate was indeed a fine Principal at Reed High School. I enjoyed his candor and advice while I served on the Washoe County School Board. He was fair and responsive to the student body, parents and all others in matters of small and great importance to all.

Mr. Cate was my chemistry teacher at Hug HS 1970-71. He was interesting and engaging and certainly a credit to his profession. As mentioned in his obit, he took a keen interest in sports and was genuinely interested in my HS basketball career. My sincerest condolences to the Cate family. Dudley Cate most certainly led a full and loving life...

I was fortunate to be the football coach at Reed High when Dudley became principle. He was the best thing that ever happened to me and the school. He stepped up in every way possible for the teachers, students and athletes. He was the greatest and I want tell the family how much he meant to me. Thanks for the time you gave me as a coach and teacher, I will never forget you.

Our sincere condolences to the Cate family in the loss of your dear love one. Our prayers are as yours, that God provide his care and comfort you each day. - Ps 145:18,19

Marlene, I am so sorry. I have had such love and respect for Dudley and you for over 60 years. I will see you at Reed on March 4 with a big hug for you. God be with you and your family.

Mr. Cate was a wonderful principal that put up with a lot of "stuff" with dignity and fairness. He will never be forgotten.
