Condolences to family and friends of this extraordinary man and devoted instructor.

To all family and friends, you have my deepest sympathy, Doug was my mentor, my teacher, and a friend. He is and will be missed for a long time to come. God bless you my friend I will miss that smile!

I was in Doug's 1950 class at Miami High. I am happy to know that his was a life well lived. Peace to all.

Mr. Palmer was a super nice man that will be missed. I always enjoyed talking to him. He truly loved his "Caddy's" ... To his family and friends, you have my deepest sympathy.

Doug was a friend and fellow teacher at Broward Community College for many years. He will be missed by many. My Prayers and Sympathy to all the Family.

A neighbor and sailing enthusitiast that took me under his wing to educate me about sailing in Biscayne Bay. On his bike every weekend, with his sailing gear, and headed down 24th Avenue to Coconut Grove and his Bahama sailboat.
Lost touch,but fair sailing for now until we meet again.
