Not sure what to say?

I am sorry I just heard the sad news. I knew Duncan just a short time, but he was a genial host and a font on information on all things Kiwi. (Isobel may recall that she and Duncan made me lunch back in September 1982, when I had just begun a 6 month tour of NZ, and Hamish took me out to a pub for a few beers as I was on my way out of Auckland.) My condolences to the entire family. Bruce Kempkes, Earlham, IA

Hi to all,

Just thinking of your family, wish I could have made it, but only just learned of Duncan's passing. All our thoughts with you. Would have loved to catch up for a beer and chat. Much hugs, will be a huge loss. Duncan was quite a remarkable man and such a gentleman, yet very earthy with a huge heart and earthy humanism which is why we all love your family so much. Regards from all the Mossmans. Mike Mossman

A later life meeting as neighbours in Leigh bought an enduring friendship with a genuinely humble man, with a zest for life and events in the world. His love of the land, pride in his family, care and love of Isabel along with his sharp intellect have made our life much better for this meeting. Our love and prayers go to Isabel and family, especially to the very new great grandchild.
