Eddie Lee Collins Of Mallory, WV Eddie Lee "PawPaw" Collins, 77, of Mallory, went to be with the Lord Friday, May 31, 2013, from his home, after a long illness. He was born January 22, 1936, at Greenville, the son of the late Everett Dalton and Sarah Bell Marcum Collins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Shelby Jean Birchfield Collins; his second wife, Janice Marie "Jean" Jewell Collins; one son, Eddie Lee Collins, Jr.; two brothers, Frank Morgan and Gene Morgan; and several aunts and uncles. Eddie was a disabled block mason and logger. He was a member of the Greenvalley Worship Center who attended faithfully until his illness. When he was able, he enjoyed fishing and working on cars. Devoted to his family, he loved spending time with his grandchildren. Those left to cherish his memory are three daughters, Connie Adkins of Mallory with whom he made his home, Sarah (Richard) Brown of Davin, and Shannon Berry of Mallory; five sons, Clet (Renea) Collins of Columbus, OH, Billy (Karen) Collins and Arthur (Christy) Collins, both of Davin; Jessie Collins of Mallory; and Tony Collins of Winchester, VA; one brother, Avery Joe (Mable) Morgan of Hamlin; 20 grandchildren, India Collins, Missy Collins, Billy Joe Collins, William Eugene Collins, Teddy Lee Robinette, William Scott Bailey, Brandy Collins, Aaron Ray Brown, Adam Lee Brown, Bobbie Jean Brown, Edward "Red" Brown, Bernie Compton, Emily Compton, Colton Sawyers, Marcus Chafin, David Edward Collins, Jessie Lee Collins, Jr,, Dustin Lee Collins, Tommy Lee Collins, and Brandon Lee Collins; and six great-grandchildren along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 3, 2013, at the Davin Baptist Church at Davin with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Burial will follow in Claypool Cemetery at Davin. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Sunday at the Davin Baptist Church. Pall bearers will be his sons and grandsons.
