Ed was my mentor and guided me for a number of years while he and I were at Grand Auto in the training department and later when he moved into HR. He was so kind and considerate but when he was fired up, he would chomp down on his teeth and get a look of determination in his eyes that no one could miss. Sincere condolences to the Coffey family. I am thankful for getting my professional career started under the guidance of Mr. Ed Coffey. Upon my graduation from college in 1973, I was hired by Grand Auto and joined the Management Trainee program under his guidance. He helped me launch my career in the field of Accounting/Finance. I have the highest respect for Mr. Coffey. It's 40 years later and I'm the current CEO/CFO of Technicolor Federal Credit Union in Burbank, California. Wonderful...
