Dear Pat and Family,

What a beautiful written account of Ed's life though it only just touches the surface of the fullness of his generosity and the thousands of people who were blessed to have known Dr Garrity.

My memories are of an important, but very approachable man who went out of his way to make others feel comfortable. He was, indeed, a servant and fine model for us all.

He had a lovely Irish wit and sense of humor. We're fortunate to have known...

Condolences to the Garrity family from an old neighbor. The doctor was the salt of the earth and his family reflected his values. Surely those souls awaiting his arrival are shouting "Cead mile failte!"
