Eddy hated injustice was a strong union member. He was a founder and sparkplug of Boeing Retirees on the Line, the we founded group to support the 1995 Machinist strike and protect retiree benefits when Boeing tried to renege. I'm happy I could join the wonderful memorial today along with fellow retiree Jackie Terrell and Helen Gilbert. The photo is public, being from the IAM751 Aeromechanic newspaper of April 1997

My condolences to the Hiroo family. Eddy was such a nice guy and I might add pretty Cool.
I worked for Eddy in Flight Test MRSA. He always had a cigar in his mouth and a dull felt pen in his hand. He would tell me to go do what he wrote on a Rejection Tag(have you ever seen his writing with a warm out felt tip) I couldn't. He would tell me to figure it out, and I did, after finding one of the guys on the field asking what the heck was Eddy saying? Always someone knew from experience and...
