Not sure what to say?

Calvin and family: I justnow (Oct 31) found out about your fathers passing. I knew him and your mom for several years and their love for one another was extremely inspiring. As I helped your dad out in the end I learned of what an interesting man he truly was. He loved his family much. May God watch over you and keep you near during this time.

What a great guy and friend. I will miss him. The Lord Bless his family.

He was a wonderful man & was great at the Br.Co. Bd. of Realtors.I remember back when he was my basketball coach for the Trinity Memorial Church team. Always fair & professional with anything he did. Sad to hear news.

Ed and Barb were frequent visitors to my in-laws front yard to swing and visit with all the neighbors. He was one of the kindest gentlemen I have ever met. I will miss his wonderful smile and good humor. Barb and the rest of the family have my deepest sympathy.

We will dearly miss our beloved friend and neighbor of 20 years. Ed is gone but never forgotten and he is in a better place now. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. God Bless.

Sorry to hear of Ed's passing. He was my rock when I was President of the Broome Cty Brd of Realtors. His guidance, experiance and friendship I truly appreciated. He was a great man and will not be forgotten.

Major Pettie, as we called him, was a mentor, coaching womens and boys basketball teams at Trinity among many other volunteer tasks. He helped me during my coaching years, and I shall always remember his friendship. My deepest sympathy to his family.

We are going to miss Mr. Petty so much. His smile always brightened our day. He was one of a kind and he will never be forgotten. We pray that his memory will comfort you and give you peace during this difficult time.

Ed was one of the hardest-working, dedicated officers that I have known.
Always with a " can do attitude ".
His memory lingers strongly.
