This morning I learned of ed's passing when I was at the fort rucker soldiers gym. My husband and I have enjoyed knowing him for many years and have missed seeing him there when his health prevented him from coming. When my husband was deployed to Afghanistan he often asked if everything was ok or if me and the girls needed any help. Thank you for caring, Ed. You have been a great American patriot and a great man. You will be missed. Col

Ed was a wonderful man and I enjoyed our time together when he would come to the dealership to just shoot the breeze with me. He kept me rolling and I always appreciated his humor. He was always the highlight of my day when I got to see him. My life has been touched forever just by knowing Ed and memories that will last me a lifetime. I will miss him greatly. My condolences are with his family. May you find comfort in memories and strength throughout this difficult time.

I loved visiting with Bubba (I rarely called him Ed), and his most wonderful family. Loved and Welcomed were Status Quo when visiting. My heart is heavy with the loss of my Brother in law, and for the sorrow our family must face. All memories are fond ones.

Here on Veterans Day, I am remembering Ed Shepherd who passed away yesterday. Ed was my Aircraft Maintenance Sergeant when I was a young Warrant Officer with the 540th Engineer Group in Germany in 1963, 64 and 65. He taught me so much that was useful to me in my later assignments. He was always smiling and full of fun. The world would be a much better place if we had more Ed Shepherds, Rest in peace Ed.
