Not sure what to say?

Thank you Ed, for your leadership role in so many of my growing-up experiences in Boy Scouts and nurturing so many of us to the rank of Eagle Scout.A founding builder of Camp Flaming Pine in Northern MN and Music Teacher leading us in fund raising musical comedies to support it.Taught us to
appreciate wildlife,Indian Lore,canoe
trips in Canada,Horseback riding and
skiing in Montana,learning to fly.
You taught me a deep appreciation for
those who fight and sacrifice...

Ed you have been a wonderful example to all of us scouts in troop 170 and at Camp Flaming Pines. We also learned to fly in the Rangers with you and Bill! God Bless you and RIP

I am so sorry to belatedly learn of Ed's passing. I have been corresponding with him for such a long time, I'll miss our email chats. Ed taught me so much about music and how to be part of a large or small group of singers. When I moved from Montana, my new music teacher must have been overwhelmed by my tales of how great Ed was. I had an opportunity to see him again at a FCHS class reunion and we began to correspond. Ed was a fine man, an excellent musician and an outstanding teacher...

You have been an inspiration to me!

A life well lived in the gift of music you gave to so many of us. I'll remember you with joy for the fine teacher you were.

You inspired many!

A grateful former student recognizes the great contribution Ed made to so many lives. He was a great musician and wonderful teacher and support for his students. Margaret Nelsen Runser
