Eddie will be sorely missed in the Lion's Club. I always enjoyed making ice cream for him, he loved ice cream.

I was Kurt Stallwitz's roommate at Texas A&M, his "Ol' Lady" in the Fightin' Texas Aggie Corps of Cadets. I first met Eddie and Carolyn Stallwitz when they visited Kurt at school, probably for Parent's Weekend. They were the first West Texas couple I ever met, and they struck me as being representative of the type...independent but friendly and social, with a good sense of humor and a faith that ran deep. Eddie was a pillar in the structure of Moore County. He and Carolyn were prime movers in the "Window on the Plains" Museum. No telling how many hambergers he made and sold at the Rotary Clud's booth during Doggie days. He was Sunday school superintendent for many years at the 1st Presbyterian Church. He said Karl Ernst (founding minister) gave him the job and no one ever came to relieve him. That was typical of him - he worked until the job was done.
