Edwin J. Jackson, 81, of Wecuwa Dr., Fort Myers, Florida, formerly of Charles St. and King Philip St., Fall River, died Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at Hope Hospice, Fort Myers.

He was the husband of Lorraine (Brault) Jackson.

Born in Fall River, the son of the late Harold and Yvonne (Fournier) Jackson, he lived in Fall River for 56 years, in Cape Coral, Florida for 16 years, and in Fort Myers for the past 10 years.

A Navy veteran of WW II and the Korean War, he was a member of the Fall River Fire Department for 30 years and operated the former H. Jackson and Son Woodworking, Fall River for 28 years.

He was a former member of the Fall River Lodge of Elks and in Florida was a member of B.P.O. Elks and the V.F.W.

Besides his wife of 61 years, he is survived by 2 sons, William Jackson and his wife Nancy of Temple, N.H. and Fall River Firefighter, James Jackson of Fall River; 2 daughters, Nancy Hebert-Reidy and her husband Tom of Harrisburg, PA and Maureen Antaya and her husband Paul of Whately, MA; 7 grandchildren, Jennifer and Adam Hebert, Patrick and Brandon Jackson and Bethany, Elise and Maren Antaya and nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Millie Hutchinson.

His funeral will be held Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. from the AUCLAIR FUNERAL HOME, 690 So. Main St., Fall River, with a funeral mass in Good Shepherd Church, So. Main St., at 10:00. Burial, Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visitation, Tuesday 4:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Large parking area and barrier-free entrance to the rear of funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Health Park Cir., Fort Myers FL 33908.
