Not sure what to say?

We met Elaine many years ago when John and Roy worked together in the shipyard. She was a strong, beautiful person who gave generously of her time and love. We always looked forward to seeing her when we visited the Outer Banks. She was usually busy helping others and volunteering her time for the church. We will miss you so much.

I loved and still love Elaine!

I will miss her beautiful smiling face, kind heart and wonderful food. She always made me smile.

I just road my bike to her house the last time I was in Nags Head to see her but she wasn't home. Even then, I felt like our weekend wasn't the same without seeing her.

She will never be forgotten and I hope to see her again one day. I remember many wonderful times together with her and our families.

My heart, thoughts...

We were blessed to have Elaine as our neighbor on the Outer Banks and will deeply miss her.

Elaine was truly a beautiful person inside and out. I first met the Dewit Family in the mid-70's when Jerry and I were traveling for PWC Norfolk. After being invited to their Cottage on Sharon Ct. in Kill Devil Hills, NC, I built one close by. Elaine would make sure my late wife Cheryl was looked after when she came down when I was traveling overseas.
She was a wonderful woman who's generosity and love knew no bounds. I am very grateful and blessed that I got to be considered a friend...

How sad I am to read this notice. However, Elaine was a true friend and neighbor to my parents and her children as well as her CTK family. Prayers for the entire family. RIP with the angels.

How fortunate we were to meet Elaine & Gerry back in 1967. Wonderful memories were made through the years. I am very blessed to have had Elaine as my friend. She will be missed!
