BLOOMINGDALE- Elaine Davies, 78, of Bloomingdale died at 4:20 pm Friday, December 18, 2009 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute. She was a homemaker. She was born June 12, 1931 in San Francisco, California to the late Patton Curtis Wolfe and Dorothy Fern Tennille Wolfe. Survivors include her husband of 54 years William D. Davies whom she married November 17, 1955 in Carrizozo, New Mexico; also surviving, two daughters, Sheila (Rick) Landes of Bloomingdale, Sondra (Joel) Clendenin of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; two sons, Zane (Kelly) Davies of Bloomingdale and Shane Davies of Bloomingdale; one brother, Ted Stroud of New Mexico; half sister, Jimmie Williams of Ranger, Texas; step-sister, Jackie Peltz of California; one aunt, Ruth Quinn of California; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; She was preceded in death by a son, Chet Walker Davies. She was a member of the Bloomingdale Friends Meeting Church, Red Hat Society, Renegade Saddle Club, active in community affairs, she served on the Parke County Fair Board, Parke County Soil and Water Conservation District and was active with the Parke County 4-H Horse and Pony Club. Cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, December 23, in Gooch Funeral Home at 112 W. Howard St. in Rockville. Memorial visitation is from 4-8 pm on Tuesday at Gooch Funeral Home. Friends may sign an online guest register at www.goochfuneralhome.com.

I'm the daughter of Howard and Helen Flock and just found out about Elaine's passing. I haven't seen her in many years, but she sure looks like her mom, my Aunt Mildred, in her photo! Know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. I am so sorry for your loss.
