Elaine L. Fulcher

Elaine L. (Putzear) Fulcher, 96, died Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Elaine moved to Orleans in 1947, where she and her husband built the house that she lived in for the remainder of her life. As the wife of a fisherman, she lived a rich and varied life, and was no stranger to long hours and hard work. She enjoyed cooking, and shared many excellent meals with family and friends. For over 25 years, she worked as a housekeeper at the Skaket Beach Motel in Orleans, where she was a friend to all of her coworkers. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene, her beloved sister Jeanne and brother-in-law Howard Ritzman. She is survived by her son Gene and his wife Jenny, grandchildren Anna (and husband Tyler Keyes) and Nate, and great- granddaughter, Lyla Rose. She will be remembered for her generous, selfless, and loving spirit.
