Not sure what to say?

Ven and Gwen, I was so sorry to hear of your loss. Your mom was so kind and generous to me when I was a newbie at school. She was a wonderful woman and she will be missed.

What a joy to know your loved one, Eleanor! She was my friend and fellow educator. She positively touched the lives of hundreds of students and friends. My sincere sympathy to you, her family. Katherine Bode

Eleanor was a cheerful inspiration to so many, but to my family and me she was a lifesaver. We first met when she was being her usual all out encourager for her grandson and my student, Adam, and my son, Ethan, on a cold early morning at a TCA crosscountry meet. We were often together at such events and rejoiced together when the boys had their Court of Honor, accepting their Eagle Scout badges on the same day. But in 2007, when my husband received a diagnosis of cancer and she knew the path...

I worked with Eleanor for many, many enjoyable years in Riesel. We continued enjoying our friendship after retiring and would meet with other retirees for lunch. I am greatly saddened by her death. God bless and give her family strength during this difficult time.

As a former student of Mrs. Bright's GT class at Riesel, I want to extend my deepest sympathies to her family. Mrs. Bright was so beloved--none of us wanted to move on to Jr High because we knew we'd be leaving her class. She was our motivation to think bigger and brighter.

I Met Eleanor, (Ven's Mom) when she first moved to Waco, she was a wonderful mother and I never saw her not smiling from ear to ear. Ron

My deepest sympathy to the Bright Family. I had the privilege of teaching with her at Riesel for several years. She expected only the best from her students and loved each and every one of them like her own.

I worked with her for many years at Riesel Elementary. She was the epitome of dedication. She dedicated herself to her job and to her students. Many students and teachers reaped the benefits of her dedication. We were all blessed to have known her. She was very loved and admired by teachers, students, and parents. Praying for her family...she spoke of you often.

Eleanor was a very kind and supportive friend to me for many years. I am very saddened to hear of this. Rest in peace Eleanor.
