Not sure what to say?

It is sad to hear that Eleanor passed away as she was so delightful at the Cancer Wellness Center. She brought sunshine to everyone knitting on Monday mornings. May she Rest in Peace.

Dear Jim, I was so saddened to hear of dear Elnie's death. She was forever a lover of life and fun and I'll hold on with fond memories our times in Sturgeon Bay and working with Elnie in hospice for so many years. She was so truly committed to her work and rarely have I seen someone who loved what she did so much and did it for love and joy. Elnie, may you rest in peace after giving so much to so many others, for so long and so lovingly!

Dear DeVries Family,

I was so sad to learn of Mrs. DeVries' passing. Please know that my heart goes out to all of you during this very difficult time.

I remember Mrs. DeVries as a kind and loving neighbor when we all lived in the same neighborhood in Winnetka.

I'm thinking of all of you.

Dear Jim,
Dick and I were so saddened to hear of Elnie's death. She was a wonderful, bright spirit and brought joy and enjoyment to so many. We will miss her - and hope to see you in DC. We are now almost neighbors - living on Clark Lake. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Annie and Dick Egan

Dear Jim and family, I am grateful that I will be back in town for the memorial..so that I can join all of you in your memories and good-byes to dear Elnie. My first and continuing memory of Elnie was at some Greeley function or other. Her smile lit up the room. She comforted our family after Paul died; she and Jim shared their beautiful and well loved Door County home for a family reunion place that first year without Paul. Our book group benefited from her love of a wide range of books...

Extending my heartfelt condolences to the entire family for the passing of your beloved Elnie. She will be dearly missed. May the love of family, friends, and Gods promise to wipe every tear from your eyes carry you through this time of sorrow.

We were so sad to hear about Elnie's passing & will miss her. I'll never forget her kindness when I started working for Jim at the age of 18. She realized all my friends were away at college and made sure I met their neighbor's 'summer girl' who was working across the street, Sue Bowman. Don and I met through Sue, so thank you Elnie! She was always watching out for others. We have such nice memories, some of which are Ravinia on the hill by the tree, the Nutcracker at the Opera House...

I will miss Elnie - she was a very kind, giving person. I always enjoyed seeing her when Marylyn and Jack Coons would visit from California or when we could "reunion" up in Door County. May you all be comforted by wonderful memories and her outstanding legacy.
