Not sure what to say?

I have very fond memories of Mrs. Derrick as my 3rd Grade teacher at St. Madeline-St. Rose. She touched the lives of many children such as myself. Condolences to the family and friends who will dearly miss her. She was the teacher that influenced me the most in my schooling.

Mrs. Derrick was loved by the children she gave life's lessons while giving them a wonderful education at St. Madeline's school. Our children have been blessed by her. With great love, The Deitch Family

I was saddened today to hear of Mrs. Derrick's passing. I had the pleasure of being in her 3rd grade class at St. Mads in 1987. She was a gifted, warm, and inspirational teacher who holds a special place in my memory, even after all these years. Mrs. Derrick was one of the reasons I decided to become an elementary special education teacher myself, as she molded even the most challenging students into an apt pupil. Thanks for setting the bar, Mrs. D. and setting it high. Expecting the best...

The McCready family sends our sincere condolences. You are in our prayers.

I am very sorry for your loss. Mrs. Derrick was a very caring, dedicated, and wonderful teacher. I remember one of her favorite songs was "Tiny Bubbles", and she used to hum it all the time. She was a wonderful women. Prayers to you and your family.

I remember those days when she would take us to lunch, Arby's was one of her favorites or on a special day, we'd go to the Gaslight in Ridley Park. The...
