Betty was a fabulous needlewoman and a wonderful customer at our Gulf Breeze shop. I especially appreciated her dry sense of humor.
I was fortunate to receive a hardanger paperweight from her at one of the Guild's exchanges and it holds a proud place of honor. I think of her every time I see it sitting on my desk. She touched many people and lived a long full life.
My thoughts and prayers to the families -

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Betty through my sister Rachel Reed who was her "helper" and friend. While I didn't spend much time with her, the stories of wonderful times that her and Rachel shared warmed my heart. The few times I did sit with her will forever be close to my heart. She was so very thoughtful. Before I even met her, she had heard of me being pregnant and gave me the give of two children's books. One of which was "Goodnight Moon".
