Not sure what to say?

Uncle Sam will always be remembered as steady, true, honest and most important to him always on time. We enjoyed hunting for elk and fishing for tuna. Many great hunting trips with his brothers in the Colorado mountains. He loved to play cards and very seldom lost. In fact he seldom lost at any game. We will all miss our uncle Sam.

Elmer, (Uncle Sam), was a terrific person. He was a special person in my life. Uncle Sam was funny, fun to be around, had a serious side, was an excellent tike model for his kids and grandkids. He and my dad, Ken Slaten, were a lot alike, never met a stranger, and was lived by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
