Not sure what to say?

I am the niece of Jane Matthews, who roomed with Eloise for years in St. Louis, and I have known Eloise since I was a very young child. I have many fond memories of her and she was considered a part of our family. She was there for all of us during our difficult times. I always referred to her as Aunt Eloise and still do to this day. I am so saddened by her loss. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this very difficult time.

Eloise and I were colleagues at Jewish Hospital School of Nursing. She was a wonderful mentor and friend. My deepest sympathy to her family.

Judy, just learned of your Mother's passing. You and yours have our heart felt condolences. Call us if we can help in any way. We love you. Pat & Carmen Sipes

she was a wonderful person.... she had a smile like no other

The nursing profession has lost a wonderful mentor, friend and colleague. Those of us who were fortunate enough to have been taught by Eloise remember the skills she brought to us and we still use today. May she rest in the arms of her creator.

A lifetime of memories. We were neighbors in 1935 when we were all children. The driveway between our homes was the subject of a poem written by my aunt, Marie Purcell Perry. We were as one family. Eloise was one wonderful person, and a joy to know and be with. Good times are fond memories of our 77 years. Thanks for your friendship.

I am so very sorry to hear of Eloise's passing. The world has lost an advocate and one of the most caring nurse educators. I was a former student from the Jewish Hospital School of Nursing and was impacted by this wonderful woman's passion and care of other people, including the many students she taught. She will truly be missed and will be forever loved.
