Elsie Scott Obituary
Elsie was an ardent golfer, photographer and cook, and in her earlier years spent much time hunting and fishing with her husband and friends. She was loath to give up golfing because of hip and knee issues, and enjoyed her last golf game in Osoyoos with Claire and Henry in 2007. We are left with many fine photos she took over the years, along with memories of many fine meals with Elsie.
Elsie leaves behind many friends, lifelong from Cedar, Ladysmith and Nanaimo, and those from her years at BCTel (Telus) and as a member of Fairwinds Golf Community We wish to thank all of Elsie's friends for their support over the past two and a half years of her convalescence-those who were able to visit and those who were not.
Many thanks to Dr. Njallsson who acted as Elsie's physician while she was in Nanaimo Seniors Village, as well as to her former physicians Drs. Brockley and Fritsch in Ladysmith. We also wish to acknowledge and thank the staff who supported her in the Cowichan District, Victoria Royal Jubilee and Nanaimo Regional Hospitals. Most especially we wish to extend our heartfelt thanks to the nurses and care staff at Nanaimo Seniors Village where she resided the last twenty-six months of her life-your love and support has been truly amazing.
No service by request; donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC and Yukon in Elsie's memory would be gratefully accepted. First Memorial is entrusted with cremation.

We are saddened to hear of the passing of Elsie. She was our Mother Helen Cain's next door neighbour. They spent every Friday at 4:00 having "Happy Hour" and every Sunday went for Brunch, from Nanaimo to Courtenay (to Ralph's). Our Mom really really missed her when she went into hospital. Mom always showed us the pictures that Elsie took of the deer at the golf course, flowers or sky. Thank you Ralph for being not only a wonderful nephew to Elsie, but a special person to our Mom as well.
