I stayed in touch with her after leaving high school and was fortunate enough to call her a friend. Our annual exchange of Christmas cards and meeting for lunch when returning to Spruce Pine will greatly be missed! Mrs. Bryant and her dear friend, Christiane R. Buchanan, were two major influences on my life, and I will remember both of them fondly. ...
