HE WAS AN INSPIRATION TO EACH OF US. HE WAS OUR BIOLOGY INSTRUCTOR 1960-1970. WE HAVE GREAT MEMORIES OF MR. ELWOOD JOHNSON.
GOD BLESS THE FAMILY.

I am truly sorry to hear of Mr. Johnson's death. He was a genuinely nice man who really loved science and who cared about sharing what he knew with all his students.

What a wonderful, wonderful Man. "Dr. J" was my favorite at WGHS! I will never forget him holding my hand with my best friend as we tried to sneak away from the cadaver lab hallway on the UNCH trip! He said.."Ladies, just come with me!" We thought we were home free! He always took care of us! What a great man. He will never be forgotten. Thank you for sharing him with all of us. Heaven has a brighter star now.

My prayers are with you.
Lisa Bearden Sloan...

Charles England and Family

I was sorry to hear of doc J's passing .He taught me biology at wghs. The Family and friends are in my prayers.I remember I couldent call him doctor j untill i was a upperclassman. He will be missed

To the Johnson family, I too heard about Mr. Johnson's passing from a WGHS link. I have good memories of him and his 9th grade science class (about 40 years ago). I enjoyed his personality as much as his command of the subject matter and I know he will be missed.

My deepest sorry to Brother Johnson's family. He was a great fraternity brother and friend. You are always in my prayers.

Dr "J"s encouragement all those years ago has stayed with me. He was one of those people who has held a special place in my heart and always will. His love of science was passed to me and now to my boys. My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

The Johnson Family

Col. Johnson & the entire Johnson Family, I was sadden to hear of the passing of your father. May the legacy he left help you with knowing how many lives he touched in his lifetime. Knowing he's gone through another stage in life to get to his final goal is a blessing. May the memories you shared be comforting to you in days to come. Continue to look for your strength in the Lord. God has the answer.

Sincerely
