Not sure what to say?

I was so sorry to hear of the loss of Dr Wutzke. I graduated from YVHS in 1970 but I remember his smile, kindness and compassionn as if it were yesterday. My heartfelt condolances go out to his family.

Dear Wutzke Family, I wish to send my belated sympathy, we had lost family at the same time & were in southern CA. at the time of Dr. Wutzke's passing. I had received this from a friend & I am so sorry for your loss. I have such fond memories at Ygnacio Valley & I know they were because of him & his dedication to the quality education we received at YV. I attended the years of 69-73, the turbulent 60's - 70's & his guidance us through those turbulent times of student...

Dear Hallie and Family, I cannot begin to express the gratitude I have that Ernie is a part of our lives. I never attended YV, but my father, Chuck Jordan was one of the early members of the YV faculty. Both Ernie and Hallie were such an important part of our lives as we settled into our new home in Concord. Ernie was respected and appreciated for all of the attributes listed by former students in this guestbook. With Ernie by his side, Dad went into administration and became the kind of...

I attended Ygnacio Valley High School from 1964-68 and I can tell you that I have great respect for Dr. Wutzke, he was a good man and will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this time

He will be greatly missed!

Never without a smile....
Rest is peace Dr. Wutzke.

Was a student from 1970-1974. Always admired how he remained calm, even after a student attacked him one time.

My wife, Sandy, and I taught at YVHS in the early 1970's. Looking back over these 40 years, we see now more clearly....but we also saw then...that Ernie Wutzke was ONE great principal and a good man. In attending his memorial service, we appreciate how much he represents an era that now seems by-gone in American life.

Best wishes, Ernie, and good wishes to you Hallie.

Dave and Sandy Anderson, Orinda

If it weren't for Ernie's interviewing me in May, 1972, I would never have met my husband, Dave Anderson. I knew many principals throughout my career, and Ernie will always hold the rank as #1.
