Everyone who knew Dr. Beutner recognized his great mind, but I recognized more his kind heart. I worked four years for him as a lab tech and came to regard him as a father-figure. The world has truly lost a remarkable man.

Although I did not have the chance of knowing him while he made these seminal contributions to the knowledge of skin biology, I did have...

Dear Gloria and Family - Papa Ernie will be greatly missed. We loved him and his kindness and love of family and friends will not be forgotten. His love of learning and discovery he instilled in all of us. Ernie encouraged all of us to pursue our dreams and always found the good in everything we tried even if the "experiment" failed or "pot boiled over"! We appreciated his sense of humor and good stories. He was an excellent listener and in return shared good advice....
