Ethel Tarus, 80, of Trenton, and recently of Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Hometown, passed away Sunday at St. Luke's Hospital-Miners Campus, Coaldale.
Born in Mahanoy City, Oct. 1, 1934, she was a daughter of the late William and Lillian Polinsky Culver.
Ethel attended Mahanoy Township High School. She loved to do puzzles and loved animals. She had a big heart and always helped out.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Gloria Eroh and Lillian Waitkus.
Surviving are a brother, William Culver, husband of Blanche; nieces and nephews.
Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in German Protestant Cemetery, Mahanoy City. Louis D. Truskowsky Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Mahanoy City, is in charge of arrangements. Visit www.truskowskyfuneralhome.com to sign the guest book and send sympathy cards.
