Not sure what to say?

there is a new angel in heaven. gene was a good friend to my late parents, lily and peter devries and also to my husband and myself. he will be missed.

My condolences to you Paul Donny and Nancy, and all the grandchildren. Gene was a good friend to my Mom and Dad,he always had a smile and a kind word for me also. May he rest in peace and know that he will be missed

I didn't know Gene, but I know his son in law and great granddaughters and you can see from the lives they live, Gene was a great influence for good. My God be with the families who were left behind, but rejoyous Gene is with God and the Angels and his singing his favorite hymns.

To the Egedy Family, We never got to know you through the years but want you to know that your Father, Grandfather, and Friend, Gene, was the ultimate ambassador of good will and love. My father, Jim Smith, who predeceased him considered Gene his best friend, steadfast, and true. I think there's a lot of hooting and hollering going on in heaven right know with the grand reunion of Gene and Dot, and my parents Jim and Betty. Gene will be sorely missed.

There's a lot of history between Gene and the Smith family from Hawthorne. We are sad to hear of his passing and he will be missed by all!
Much Love,

Gene was a special part of our lives for many years. He was a kind, generous, caring man. His fresh catch flounder was by far the best we've ever eaten and "Gene's beans" (his homegrown green beans) were legendary. Always available to lend an ear, his thoughtful and insightful advice was appreciated. We will treasure our memories of this remarkable man.
