Evelyn F. Dunbar, age 85, of Hanoverton, OH , passed away on Wednesday, October 14, 2009 in Blossom Nursing Home in Salem. She was born in West Lebanon, OH on April 9, 1924, to the late Forest and Mary "Elizabeth" Rudolph and was a 1942 graduate of Paint Township High School in Mt. Eaton. Evelyn was employed as an inventory clerk with Babcock & Wilcox for 17 years, retiring in 1983. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Minerva and the Tennessee Buckeye Walking Horse Association. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, camping and gardening and she loved her horses. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Howard A. Dunbar on August 23, 2004; two brothers Ralph and Orin Rudolph; a sister Cathleen Rudolph and a grandson Jeffrey Joseph Medure. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Randall and Jean Elizabeth Dunbar of Massillon, OH; daughter and son-in-law Marilyn and John Medure of Hanoverton, OH; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a brother Glenn Rudolph of West Lebanon, OH and a sister of Norma Jean Byerly of Akron. Funeral services will be Saturday at 1pm in the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. Entombment will follow in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
