Evelyn Small

I was so sad to hear of her passing. We were neighbors growing up through high school. I have so many memories of Evelyn and her family. Prayers for her and her family.

Evelyn first became my friend at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville, then extended this friendship through our mutual friend, Rosie Kennedy. Two notable moments from the 70´s...playing croquet at my country home, and visiting her at the White House. She was as kind as she was intelligent.

I could write a book about my long-from early childhood on-friendship with Ev and her family. She was truly a one-of-a-kind person full of love and integrity. My deepest sympathies to her family. I am thinking of all of you at this sad time. I will always treasure all my memories with Ev, Bob, Betty and David and Danny.

I was about 9 years younger than Evelyn, but remember her well from First Presbyterian Church in Greenville. She made quite an impression on me as being a very intelligent lady to look up to. Sending hugs to the family.

I am also a member of the Miami University class of 1970. There were a few of us who shared rides home to Darke Co. during the school year.
