In bringing his brilliance and caring nature to the healing of others, Fabian led an entirely admirable and worthwhile life. He was an example of kindness and humor to his family, his son-in-law, his friends and patients and all who were fortunate enough to have had their lives touched by him. He lives on in his descendents; his intelligence and humor are already manifest in his grandchildren. The loss of such a fine man diminishes us all; he will be greatly missed and remembered with...

I will miss him, but will always carry memories of his infectiously cheerful spirit. It was through his love of medicine that I came, at an early age, to know that I, too, would pursue the field. I will always thank him for that. Most of all, my father and he both gave me such pride in my identity and roots.

Our dearest friends - our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this very sad time.
How dreadfully your much loved husband, father and grandfather must be missed!
A charming, funny and sincere gentleman who made such an impact on me with his quiet charisma. He was so proud of his wonderful daughters. And I know they were so proud of him. The smile on Lia's face is forever etched in my memory when she used to recall anecdotes about her father when we were away at boarding...

Please know that you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Although I do not remember your father well, it is obvious he was an amazing man and will be dreadfully missed. I'm so sorry.

The snap in Fabian's step and the twinkle in his eyes are just a couple of his vast array of delightful qualities. We are so very grateful to have had him in our lives for these years, altogether too few and too short. Our lives are immeasurably fuller. He was a model to us of good humor, affection, high standards and love of life. We can only hope that he taught us well, and that we can honor him by following his example in character and spirit. Adieu.
