PIERPORT — Mrs. Franklin of Pierport, formerly of Okemos and Savannah, Ga., passed away at her home in Pierport on Lake Michigan on Dec. 5.

She was raised in northern Michigan, the daughter of George and Ina Greer. She moved to East Lansing, where she met and married Russell Runciman in 1941, who preceded her in death in 1975.

She retired in 1983, after 29 years, from Jacobson's in East Lansing, where she had many fond memories of her friends and customers from Jac's.

Faye was later married to Gene Franklin of Savannah, Ga., where she lived for 20 years before returning to Michigan in 2003.

Faye is survived by her daughters, Renee (Ralph) Veazey of Pierport and Jane (Clarence) Weiss of East Lansing; grandchildren, Scott Robinson of Chicago, Kim Sones of Ventura, Calif., Carrie Mersino of Ortonville, and Paula Williams and Sharon Heddles of Houston, Texas; and five great-grandchildren.

Private services will be held per Faye's wishes.

Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Munson Hospice and Palliative Care, 550 Munson Ave., Traverse City, MI 49686.

The family is being served by the Gorsline-Runciman Funeral Homes, East Lansing.
