This eulogy is in memory of Dr. Fereidoun Farassat, who passed away on July 9’ 2011.
I had known Dr. Farassat since he joined NASA – Langley Research Center in 1979 as an Aerospace Technologist in the Acoustics Division. Even though our respective fields of interest were far apart, I being a Theoretical Nuclear Physicist and Dr. Farassat being a Theoretical Aeroacoustics Scientist, we had one thing in common: and that was dissemination of scientific knowledge to the young Americans. I...

This eulogy is in memory of Mr. Redpath, who passed away on July 4’ 2011. Mr. Redpath was my neighbor and friend since mid seventies. Even though our respective fields of interest were not far apart, I being a Theoretical Nuclear Physicist and Mr. Redpath an Experimental Reactor we often met on Thursdays when we hauled our household trash pick-up bins to the roadside and discussed only community social trivia. We seldom discussed nuclear science, even though I was quite familiar with the...

"I met Feri in Boston (2006) and in Rome (2007): it was a great privilege to discuss on aeroacoustics with him and it was a honor to receive his encouragement at the end of my PhD. Wherever you are, all my prayers are with you." Sincerely.

I will miss you Feri. I am remembering all the fun times we had in B1208 (Acoustics). Keeping your family in my prayers.

Feri has been a brilliant scientist, a great teacher and a stimulating example for many researchers. I will never forget the discussions I had the privilege to have with him. My condolences to his family.

Dear Dr. Schneider,
We are saddened by your loss and extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to you and your family. We pray for your strength and patience in the coming days.

You will be missed uncle Feri. Although we did not have the pleasure of knowing you better, our mom has kept your memories alive in our house. The story of how you brought my first Lego(s) construction kit for my (Nima) third birthday has motivated me greatly in life. It was meant for ages 10+ but you told my mom to "never underestimate your son's capabilities." With a little help from you, that same day I had completed the structure! Please accept our condolences; you are in our thoughts and...

Mr.Farassat was such a wonderful human being. We loved to see him out at NASA. He always had time to to stop and say hell and ask how the family was doing. He will truly be missed by all.
