To Floyd my best buddy, where do I even start to recall my fondest memories of you? I guess I'd have to go back in my mind to July of 1963 when Elmer brought me to Ackley Ave.-you were there sitting on the sofa and Elm introduced us. I must admit that I wasn't so sure about you then. Something told me you were both mysterious and mischievious all rolled into one.

Time passed and as I began dating your brother we had no wheels-you offered your 1957 Ford to us on one condition-...

On our last conversation,we remembered our good times together between laughting and crying and both agreed that living in the 50's and 60's was the greatest of our time. You told me, Elm if I ever did any thing to hurt you, please forgive me. Well, I have thought about your DASH in life between 1940-2009 . I remember your black eye patch in Deltaville,Va., easter egg hunts at grandmas, you rowing the boat and crabbing, going fishing, sneaking eggs to sell at the store for ice cream, and...

Just came accross Floyd's obit. Please accept my sincere condolances and sympsthy. May God be with during this time of sorrow. May he lay his hand upon your shoulders and comfort you. May his blessings help you find peace for the moment.

Uncle Floyd,
You were an amazing man with a heart of gold! You would have done anything for anybody...and you always did! I feel so lucky to have had you for my Uncle. I will cherish the times we had together. The talks, laughs, and even lectures. I will miss you very much. You will live in our hearts forever!
