Francis "Mac" McBride

New Mac in his older years and we was still tough as nails. He was our Wyatt Earp in downtown. No fear. A man de be admired, old School to the bone.

I enjoyed working with Mac in the downtown area of Deland. I would met Mac in the center of town just after bar closing. We would walk and do a complete sweep of the down town area checking all the doors, and sometime find an unsecured door. Not only was Mac very dependable, he was the face of community service not only to the share holders in Deland but to all surrounding communities. I worked with Mac when he worked at Sherwood Medical, then Tyco. He was a nice person may he be at peace.

To many of us Mac was more than a inspiration and mentor. He was absolutely the finest man of character I have ever known. RIP brother you earned your rest. We love you.

Mac was a super sweet gentleman I spoke with him while I was in High School, I had a very rewarding career in Law Enforcement with Volusia due to Mac and his dedication. God speed RIP
