Not sure what to say?

I did not know Frank. Today I read about him and enjoyed looking at his work. I obtained a piece of his photography equipment as a gift (etched with his name and SS#), so I looked him up and I feel honored to own one of his spotlights, on display in my home. It was a piece for sale in a vintage shop in Seattle, and I just thought it was a cool piece, and found out it has so much more back story. I love that.

My Prayers for Peace go out to all of you in the family of Franco "Frank" Barsotti. I earned my BFA in 1981 and Frank was my mentor and teacher in the art of Photography and he was greatly appreciated for his input into my life. May God's Peace be with you all.

Designer/silk painter that was encouraged by Frank.

Sending my regards: Ruth Conner. I had Frank for professor at the SAIC where I rec'd a MFA in printmaking and photography. Frank was a great teacher along with Bob Loescher when 22 students went to Italy for the Summer of 1982... I have fond memories of Frank from that trip along with many lessons learned with the View Camera in his classes... He was a person that inpired us all to do our best. Doing alternative/contemporary photo/printmaking processes, he supported my vision... and that...

I just found out and am so sorry to hear the news. I owe a great deal to Frank for his support and guidance at SAIC. My thoughts are with him and his family.

I thought I had a post here. I was so sa to hear of Frank's passing. He was one of my few creative mentors in life who really helped form me as a creative. I had the pleasure to house/dog sit for him in the late 80's and created some stunning photos during my stay. Thank you for your big heart and for being supportive of me when other teachers in the photo department didn't get me. You will never be forgotten.

While a grad at SAIC, Frank was my favorite teacher to TA for. He was very loved by his students and will be missed.

All who loved you will miss you always, dear Franco.

Our condolences to your entire family.
Franco's photos in our home will continue to remind us of his many talents (including making pizza with our children in Michigan)
