Not sure what to say?

Thornton family,
I was so saddened to hear of Frank's passing. We had talked, laughed and cried many times by phone over the years and I was always inspired by his ability to find humor amid his pain. I remember coming to Charlottesville as a child and sneaking into Norman's library to look at the pictures in his medical books! When Aunt Kate caught us, she was not a happy camper. Norman, Whitney and Garrett - he loved you very much and so looked forward to every visit. Norman, he...

I had the pleasure of meeting Frank through a M.S. swim class in Charlottesville. He always kept the class laughing-- especially when he would perform his "crow imitation". God Speed, Frank--keep the angels smiling in heaven.

I met Frank in a camping ground at Fox Glacier in New Zealand. We met up with him again at every stop we made that holiday. We became friends with Frank and Walker. I remember Frank as a very bright person full of vitality and a great sense of fun. I was very sad to hear of his long illness and recent death. My sympathy goes to his family and those close to him I know you will miss him so much.

I worked with Frank as a nurse and he had a way of making you appreciate life and enjoy each day to the fullest. Frank will be deeply missed and loved by all that he met and touched. We Love you Frank!!

Frank had been my patient for a short period of time but he had a wonderful personality. He could make you laugh even on a bad day. Frank will be missed and I know he is enjoying the sun. My thoughts are with the family.

I met Frank when I worked in the Neurology Clinic at Fontaine. He was always joking and laughing when he came for his appt. Frank was such a great guy with so much sense of humor. I will never forget his kindness, may you always have those memories to get you thru the tough times.

Frank was an esteemed TVA colleague, and I wish to express condolences to his family for their loss. May your grief be assuaged in the confidence that his professional contributions made this world a better place. His cheerful attitude in facing difficult circumstances was an inspiration to all.

we were so sorry to here about Frank, he was a great man. He was a great roommate to my fatheinlaw so much that Carl said when he had to go in for a second time he would only go if he could go back in with Frank., Our thoughts and prays are with the family.
