Franklin Lim Liao Obituary

My deepest condelences to Franklin's family. He was always a highlight at the IFDC conventions. He has gone too soon. RIP Franklin.

I met Franklin during my membership with the SFDC. I kept in touch with him over the years. I enjoyed his warm heart, imagination, creativity and his talent as a doll-designer.

I met you and spoke with you in two occasions, but had seen and known about you through the doll community for years, you were just as friendly as the rest of your friends describe. May you rest in peace, Franklin...

What a tragic loss. He left far too soon.

Franklin, you were a bright light to everyone that had the pleasure of making your acquaintance.
I always enjoyed Franklin's company and his costumes. I'll miss seeing him at every convention I attend.

I've known Franklin since 1986 when he attended his first Barbie Convention, and Richard & I have always looked forward to seeing him at any of the conventions he attended after that. Franklin was so fun and we always loved visiting with him at the conventions. His costumes were amazing. He was a great friend and we will miss him greatly!

Franklin was a good friend and member of Pacific Friends, a very good organization now out of existence. He was always a willing worker and friendly to me and always had something nice and kind to say.

Franklin's contagious enthusiasm made mundane trivial things more exciting, fun and inclusive. I always looked forward to seeing him at doll conventions. Future conventions will not be the same without him.

My deep condolence to the family. I met Franklin through Barbie shows and conventions, for the first time in Europe in the 90th. I remember Franklin as a very kind and nice person. Like many of us I feel also blessed to have met him and I am grateful for his guidance into the hobby. R.I.P.

My condolence goes out to the family. I met Franklin through my business and looked forward to seeing him every year at our convention. He will be greatly missed and I am so blessed to have know him. Continue to shine as brightly in heaven as you did on earth.

Franklin was a great guy and will be truly missed at the IFDC convention! He was always so much fun at the convention. I was happy to have known him and enjoyed talking to him. Condolences to his family and close friends!

From the moment I first met Franklin what struck me was his warm, welcoming smile and genuine joy to have you as a companion. Franklin's generous nature gave many people pleasure and he will always hold a special part of my heart. My deepest sympathy to his family.

There are very few who are as creative as Franklin in costume design. I too remember his Marie Antoinette postmortem costume at the I-Beam.

I am so sorry that we've lost Uncle Franklin. And way too soon. He created so much fun and joy, was so loving, and was exceedingly generous. I mourn his loss and feel terrible for our family.

he was a very friendly person - but what i remember the most, are his incredibly creative costumes...once he was marie-antoinette, carrying his own head under his arm!
