Not sure what to say?

Hey Frank! I am home hanging out with Cola ( my standard poodle) and thinking about you! I wondered if I ever thanked you enough for giving me my first dog, Pax, when I was 12 years old. You know, that really sealed the deal for me. Was that part of your plan as my new step-father? Well it worked. I know you took your "job" as a step-dad very seriously, and you know what? You did a hell of a job. And probably not all ten of us made it too easy for you! Thanks also for walking me...

So sorry I was out of town because I would have loved to hear the stories that must have been told at his funeral.
He was a charming and engaging man and the devotion his children and grandchildren had for him are a testament to the kind of person he was.
I know he will be missed.

What a wonderful man. He always had big hugs when you were around him. He was so nice and kind when you talked to him and was genuine and when you talked to him I will miss him very much. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

Thanks for the great conversations and memories. You will be missed.

I came to know Frank by growing up at/around the Zarling house; my first memory of him was up at Bone Lake, (I was 9-10 yrs old) and those eyebrows......well the next 10+ years the memories that i have stored away from those "Wonder Years" are priceless! When I got married and became a Step-Dad I told Frank he was my role model as to what a Step Dad should be....I am proud to have known him and will always remember fondly.

Frank loved his view. His planned Christmas card for 2013

I will start by saying, SO! Frank you will always be with me.I have been truely blessed to have had you in my life. And I no longer say AT, at the end of a question. I can see you smile at that with a thumbs up! Thank you for sharing memories of our lives and loved ones with me. Now, I will share my memories of you. You were one of a kind and I miss you. You had a way of getting everyone who knew you to like you very well! We shared many laughs together and I was provided vocabulary lessons...

Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

This picture of Frank is the epitome of who he was to all in my mind's eye. His smile showed us that to live life is to life to the fullest - no regrets. To me, that was his vision for each of us. Grab life and never let go - no matter where it takes us. I couldn't wait for my trips back to Minnesota to see my BFF, Chris, because I knew it meant that at some point, I will be able to spend time with him. His smile, his laugh, his storytelling meant so much to me. Loved his interest in...
