ROBERTS, Donald L. Donald L. Roberts, 63, of Carriage Hill Drive, Niantic, passed away Saturday, (August 5, 2005) at Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London. Beloved husband of the late Carole (Dupree) Roberts. He was born in New London, on December 1, 1942, son of the late Oliver H. and Lillian (Babcock) Roberts. Donald was a Navy Veteran. He retired after 28 years as a Press Operator at R&R Donnelly's formerly in Old Saybrook. Don loved wood working and genealogy. He loved spending time with his family and friends and he will be sadly missed. He is survived by his two daughters, Tracy Paczowski and her husband Donald of Niantic, and Carol Thomas of Niantic. His two sons, Brian Costello and his wife Lisa, and Arnold Costello Jr. both of Bristol. His three brothers, Henry Roberts of Deep River, Oliver Roberts of Jackson, NC, and Bruce Roberts of Jackson, MO. And a sister Betty Salldin of Westbrook. His three grandchildren, Joshua Thomas, Jessica and Ashley Paczowski, and two great-grandsons. Donald is also survived by his loving companion Marcy Fuller of Westbrook. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, August 9, at 8 p.m. at the Swan Funeral Home, 1224 Boston Post Road, Old Saybrook. Family and friends may visit prior to the service from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A private burial will be held in Waterford. Memorial donations may be made in Don's memory to the CT Sports Foundation against Cancer, 129 Main Street, Old Saybrook, CT 06475, and the Tommy Fund, c/o Yale New Haven Hospital, 20 York Street, New Haven, CT 06510.
