I am proud to have know a truly remarkable man.

I never got to meet Judge Lacey but learned a lot about him via his son, Bob. I met Bob via Tennis & we have had lunch ea Tuesday for 15 years. As a result, I learned a lot About the judge & his interesting career. I will pray for the entire Lacey family.

May he rest in peace.

I first met Fred in 1969. He talked me out of a comfortable law firm job and into the new US Attorney's Office. He said we were going to change the State of New Jersey and give it back to the people. It probably would have sounded outrageous from anyone else but Fred. He was the very best lawyer, boss, mentor and public servant. He did change the State of New Jersey.

He was revered by the community, his clients, and all who worked for him. Working with him gave me the building blocks and training that I took and used throughout my career.
