Frederick Ross Mabey

MABEY, Frederick Ross September 25, 1931 - April 4, 2018 In sorrow and in peace we announce the passing of our father, Fred. Pre-deceased by his loving wife, Dorothy (nee Darlington) with whom he shared his life for nearly 60 years. He is survived by his children, Susan, Jane, Nancy and John, and his beloved nieces, Christine and Linda. Fred had 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, all of whom will miss him deeply. Fred also enjoyed a large group of family and friends, and knew he was surrounded by love in his passing. As a life-time member of the Lions Club, a performer in Target Theatre, and participant in PFLAG Victoria, Fred led an active life until his most recent years. He will be celebrated and missed by many. Our family would like to thank the staff and residents of The Victorian at McKenzie, and the Victoria General Hospital for their loving care and support of us and of our father. Rest in peace, Dad/Pop/G.Pop A memorial tea will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm at the Victorian at McKenzie, 4000 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC, and in Toronto at a time to be announced.
