Guest Book

Not sure what to say?

My Uncle Gardest was an incredible person who instilled in me a real sense of civic engagement and a strong unshakeable desire to make my community a better place to live for all. I just hope that I am able to accomplish a small fraction of the great work he did. I will forever love him. - Anthony Gillespie

Your Nephew Bobby

We will love you forever. You have been a great Uncle who has a giving nature with all you interact with and help.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.

Gardest was one of Gary, most productive person and a pleasure to be around. Thought I'd missed him when he moved away but to know that this is the end is hard. To the family thank you all for allowing this city the opportunity of an awesome person. My friend RIP.

To the Family,

Councilman is at peace. Think of the good times and smile. May God bring you comfort during this time.

To The Gillespie Family
We were said to hear of your loss. But remember that earth has no sorry that heaven can not heal. You are in our prayers during this transition time.
Mrs. Gwendolyn (Baskin) Williams & Family

Have been priviledged to know Gardest since our days as colleagues with the School City of Hammond. Truly a professional to the max. Sincere condolences to the family.

To Sheila and the Gillespie Family,
I'd like to extend my condolence to all of you. Sheila, I'm sorry I won't be able to attend the funeral, I just got the news today. I pray that you and your family will be strong and that God will get you through these difficult days.

It is said that when you cry, you cry alone but that isn't true. The sadness you are feeling is felt by loved ones around you.
