Gary Marvin Dudley


Gary Marvin Dudley, age 75, passed away on Sunday, August 22, 2021 in Liberty Hill, TX. He was born on October 4, 1945 in Sweetwater, TX to Pat Marvin and Eunice Pearl (Blair) Dudley. Gary married Barbara Campbell on April 12, 1968 in Kermit, TX and they shared 53 wonderful years together.


Gary was a member of the Kermit Cruzers Car Club where he proudly displayed his 57 Chevys.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Gary was a 23 year heart transplant recipient and survivor.  Gary was a member of the Wink Volunteer Fire Dept for over 20 years and also served as the Winkler County Fire Marshall for several years.  Gary was an Army veteran, serving his country in Vietnam.  He was most proud of his family especially his grand-daughters.


Gary is survived by his wife: Barbara Dudley of Wink, TX.; daughter:  Kimberly Gilliam and husband Wade of Liberty Hill, TX.; brother: James “Cooney” Dudley and wife Cheryl of Artesia, NM.; sisters:  Judy Redwood and husband Gary of Tulsa, OK., and Linda Ferguson of Ponte Verde, FL.; grandchildren:  Ramsie Grimm and husband Mitchell, and Reanna Gilliam and fiancé Chris Foster, and his special pet: Banjo.


He was preceded in death by his parents: Pat and Eunice Dudley; father-in-law:  Fred Campbell; sister-in-law:  Linda Taylor; and nephew: Bart Campbell.


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pmon Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit, TX officiated by Rev. Beth Harrington.  Burial will follow at the Kermit Cemetery.  Pallbearers will include:  Preston Campbell, Gary Taylor, Jeff Dudley, Clifton King, Mitchell Grimm, and Chris Foster.  Honorary pallbearers will include: Kevin Arnold, Lonnie White, and David Campbell.


In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or your local Veterans organization.
