Not sure what to say?

Coach Marrs was someone who inspired you to do your best. He was always friendly and smiling. It was always good to see him in the halls. He was friendly and he seemed to care. Class of 1971

My uncle was a very caring man. He was a very dedicated father, son and brother. He loved his family very much. I remember him always making my sister and I play games to get our Christmas presents which were wrapped in the comic strips. He was the one that kept everyone entertained. I know he is up in heaven watching sports or participating in them. He and my dad lived them. Go Longhorns!!Uncle Gary, I will miss you a great deal. I'm glad you are no longer in pain.
Love you,
Kipper

Coach Marrs was the co-manager of Sprague Pool during the summers when I worked there during high school and college in the early 1980s. He was a great guy and always good to work for. He had a great sense of humor and a kind smile.

A lot of times he brought Katy up to the pool, and it was easy to see that they were really close.

Katy, I am sorry for your loss.

Gary was a great man who loved the outdoors and he loved his children. My deepest heart felt condolences go out to Katy and her loved ones. Peace be with you all.

I've know Gary for many years. My parents, Jim and Sue, grew up with Gary and are very close friends of his. I remember him going fishing and hunting with my dad. He will be missed very much by my family.

My deepest sympathy to Gary's family and friends. There's a special place in my heart for him; I'm sure there is one in heaven also.

One of Oak Cliff's most dedicated teachers is gone, but do not despair. His influence will go on and on in the lives of those students who had the good fortune to know him.

Gary Marrs was a good man and top notch coach. I remember when he and a partner opened a Tack Shop in Wynnewood Village Shopping Center. He was a man with vision and he will be missed.

Sincere condolences to the Family.

My deepest heart felt sympathy to his family and friends. Coach Marr was a wonderful, kind man who will be greatly missed. Adamson High School was lucky to have him as a teacher, coach, and friend. What a wonderful blessing he was to all those he taught & coached.
