What a dear, sweet friend and neighbor. He will be greatly missed. I will always remember his great smile, and how he always made you feel loved when you were around him. Love to you Tamra, I'll be close up the hill whenever you need me.

The Austin family is so blessed to have had known Gene for as long as they did. I only had the opportunity to know him for a year. But to convey what a genuine man he was; in one year I knew him as my landlord, my neighbor, a counselor to the Bishop, and a genuine friend and man of magnitude. Gene helped me numerous times on common house maintainance problems, advice with church callings, and just about any "idea" I had he could help fine tune and encourage my enthusiasm.
