Not sure what to say?

Mr. Baumann was my homeroom teacher at Bernstein Junior High School. We all loved him and the same could be said about him loving all of us. He even came to our graduation ceremony. We always had such a good time with him, he was so funny. He missed us once we graduated. I heard he was not the same afterwards. We were lucky to have a teacher like him. As a gift, we gave him a gift certificate to Garber Brothers in New Dorp. I think he really was touched by it.

Dear Marie,
May I express my most sincere condolences on the loss of your
very dear husband, George. He was a true gentleman,so warm and
personable...molto gentile e simpatico ..and a dedicated, inspiring
role model in sports education. Treasuring all the beautiful memories
of your life together will sustain you through this painful loss. con
molto affetto, Joyce Maniscalco Maiellano

Dear Marie:
My sister recently told me of your loss. My deepest sympathies go out to you. Although I am rarely on Staten Island these days, my sister does keep me very up to date. What wonderful memories we all have. Best regards, Maryjane

Marie,

I have been thinking about you for many years now and have wanted to re-connect. Unfortunately, this is a sad way to do so -- having to express my sadness at your loss of George which I recently found out. When you feel up to communicating, please do write me. I would love to spend some time with you. I can't tell you how important you were to me in my years of growing up as a teenager on Staten Island. Stephen

Dear Marie,
I just wanted to express my deep sympathy to you and your family on the loss of George. I will always remember him as one of the nicest men I've ever met and as someone who genuinely cared about our student athletes.

Dear Marie and Family,
I just heard of George's passing. I am so sorry that I was not there for all of you. George was a dear friend and a gentle man. It was a privilege working with him at the PSAL. His dedication to the student athletes was a shining example of his humanity and professionalism. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you

Dear Marie & family,

Our hearts are heavy hearing the news about George. Sorry we are not there at this time to comfort you and support you at your time of need. We are in SC, but will get in touch with you when we return home. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Marie and Family,
George was my first high school football coach. One of the reasons that I'm a college football coach today. He was a great Man, teacher , friend and coach. I will miss him. I will always treasure his memory and the time spent on the football field with him.

When I saw the death notice it reminded me of the decency of the man."Mr. Baumann" was the 1st football coach I met in the early '60's at Farrell HS. Though I lost track of him over the years and never excelled in football, I always remembered him as a young guy who was more of a teacher of the sport than "win at all cost" kind of guy! A real class act!
