We have fond memories of family gatherings in New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida that included George and his family. He was always a kind, thoughtful man, devoted to his family. He was greatly admired by many. George shall remain in our memories of happy family times always. Suzanne and Chuck Parsons and family (cousins)

I'm very sorry to hear that George has passed away. We last saw him in 2005 while visiting Dick & Claire on vacation. My dad and he were close -- they enjoyed swapping their WWII Navy stories.

Hello friends, I work with Art's wife, Marsha, at BlueCross BlueShield of Florida. I never met or knew Mr. Savaria. But, I lost my own father just four months ago, so I think I know a little about some of the pain Mr. Savaria's family is experiencing now. During the time my father was sick, I reconnected with my Catholic faith and found that attending mass helped to strengthen me (and I surely needed the help). If I didn't believe with all my heart that my father and I will be reunited in heaven some day, I don't think I would be able to continue on my life's journey. For whatever it is worth, I am praying for the entire Savaria family. Praying that Jesus will comfort them and give them the strength to help each other during the sad times. Please believe with all your heart that you will see Mr. Savaria again. And that he is really OK now. No more pain, no more suffering. Hold tight to your memories of time spent with Mr. Savaria, they will ease your grief. And never leave anything unsaid to your loved ones. Do your best each day and "enjoy every sandwich". Take care.

The first time I met George was at a Christ Renews His Parish weekend 3 1/2 years ago. His wife, Grace, and I were attending the womens' retreat together. Some men of the parish, dressed in tuxedos, served us dinner. George surprised Grace by being one of our "waiters". He looked so handsome in the tuxedo. The love he and Grace have for each other was very evident. It was a further treat to discover that this wonderful couple live down the street from me. I will miss George very much. My thoughts and prayers go with Grace and her family. May God comfort them in the difficult time ahead.
