George was a very smart man I was privileged to work with him for close to ten years. I considered him my mentor as he taught me many useful lab practices and computer software that stay with me to this day. I just learned of his death. I tried to call him I believe in January to catch up on things but unfortunately was able to get him, now I know why. Hope he enjoyed his retirement, I know If he could have he would have worked longer. The same thing happened to me but I am learning to adapt. I wish I had not waited so long to call him, and I have the upmost sympathy for his family.
