I am a friend of George's from Fort Lauderdale. He and I would text on a regular basis and I was worried that I did not hear from him last week. He did send me a photo October 22. He was a lovely man and spoke often and fondly of his family. My deepest sympathy to the family.

My deepest sympathy to the Messenger family. I´m so sad to learn of George´s passing. He was a dear coworker and friend back in the late 60s and early 70s. We kept in touch through the years and exchanged birthday greetings. I´m thinking of him on his birthday today and sending heavenly wishes.

Prayers to all of the Messenger family. Mr. Messenger (Spud) was a fixture in my childhood, from swim meets, trips to OC 29th Street Harrington Towers (rm 801, right?) to understanding how important it was to keep a car clean. He was always so kind to me and my family. May God bless and watch over the Messengers during this difficult time.
